                            ***IMPORTANT MESSAGE***

"Mitch BHBplus" has been added to some of the files due to a scrupulous person
(Vassilis themes) who have in the past stole my themes and replaced the README
file with their name taking credit for the entire theme.  I have work to hard
on my themes (sometime months to get it just right) to have someone just walk
in and replace the readme file.  I have taken this drastic step in an attempt
to prevent this from happening again.  In no way am I attempting to take the 
credit for all the files within the theme.  If you see a file that you have 
created with the "Mitch BHBplus" added this is why.  If you take offenses to 
this please contact me and I will add your name for that icon wav or image 
GLADLY :) to the readme file.  I would also request that in good faith you do
not support or download any themes from this persons website.  Please do not 
issue there site any awards or honors of any kind and remove all themes you 
may already have on your site, until the themes in question are removed or 
proved their own creations all the themes on the site should be suspected.

                    INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLING THEMES:
                    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 -  Drop the *.Theme file in your  usually -- 
C:\Windows\Program Files\Plus\directory.

 -  Create a directory StarShip Theme in  C:\%windir\%media

 -  Put all the other files in this directory also.

 - Open Control Panel | Desktop Themes. The 'Star Trek' StarShip scheme 
should appear in the list of available themes. My theme only provides mostly 
sound settings but you can also select the other settings and see what my 
desktop looks like.

 -  The default Jpeg for theme 1 is label 1701D Bridge Mitch BHBplus 
(*see important message above)

 -  The theme sound wav for mail is labeled New Mail Priorty1and must be 
installed manually or deleted.

 -  The theme documents folder is labeled Starfleet Folder Gray, and must 
also be installed manually or deleted.

                 ***STARTUP/SHUTDOWN LOGO SCREEN INSTALLATION***
                 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
NOTE:  This theme also comes with the Windows startup, wait and shutdown 
screens you need to follow these instructions:

 - To install them, first make a backup of your existing startup, wait and 
shutdown screens.  Their file names are logo.sys (in the root directory of 
your boot drive usually the c-drive or hard drive) , logos.sys, and logow.sys
(in the windows root directory of your boot drive C:\%windir).  Just do a 
file search for all three of those files, then rename them to logo.bak, 
logos.bak, and logow.bak.  Next, move the logo.sys (start file) file to your 
root directory (primary hard drive, usually it's C:), and move the logos.sys 
(shut down File) and logow.sys (wait file) files to your Windows folder 
(usually C:\Windows).  Finally, rename the logo.sys file to logo.sys, 
rename logos.sys to logos.sys, and rename logow.sys to logow.sys.  Next time 
you restart your computer, you should see the new startup and shutdown screens.

 - Back up your existing start up and shut down screens BEFORE you copy the 
new ones to the above locations in case you want to go back to them. 

 - Of course the best place to find more Star Trek logo's on the web is to 
look at the XRX homepage, you can link here from my homepage (2) (one of my 
personal favorites). - OR - If you want to create your own animated startup 
logos, instructions on how to do so can be found at Karl McMurdo's Windows 95

                      ***WARP Screen Saver Setup***
                     ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
NOTE: The screen saver is already part of this theme!  You shouldn't have  do
anything.  If it doesn't work you can always try moving the blue "TV" screen
saver to the windows\system file.  But don't worry this program has been 
tested and works as designed. 

                               MANUALLY SETUP

 -  Unzip and place into  C:\%windows\system dir.
 
 -  To select Warp for your screen saver:
   
 -  There are only one file for the windows95 version of warp screen saver. 
The warp screen saver contains the warp.scr (blue Television screen), place 
this into your  C:\%windir\%systemdir.  The file must be place in the 
windows\system directory in order to work!  Thats it... now all you have to 
do is select it manually if it doesn't automatically load through the display
properties screen.

 -  To do this right click on an empty space on your desktop, select properties 
from the drop down list and then select the Screen Saver tab.  You will see a 
drop down screen, select the tab down arrow and choose the Warp screen saver 
in the box.  Once selected press apply, then OK and now your done.
 
 -  If this screen saver still doesn't work it's propably because your missing 
the VB40032.dll which is the runtime environment for Visual Basic 4 applications.  
It is very likely that you already have an application written in VB4 so you 
have this dll.  But just in case, search you computer for this file -- VB40032.dll.  
It should be in your  C:\%windows\system dir.  If not then download a 
VB40032.zip from the web (very common) and unzip into your  
C:\%windows\system.  There is no setup for this file just place it into your 
 C:\%windows\system.  

                        ***THEME INSTALLATION PROBLEMS***
                        ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

If you are having problems installing a logo or the theme, the following 
could be one of your problems:

 -  You don't have Microsoft Plus installed
 -  You are putting the Logo.sys's file in the wrong folders.  Re-read the 
instructions for logo's above.
 -  You are not unzipping with a 32 bit decompression program that supports 
long file names (WinZip recommended)

                             ***TROUBLESHOOTING***
                             ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you have installed the theme correctly, but it doesn't seem to work properly, 
then your problems could be:

 -  Your Windows directory is not C:\Windows\ change the 
 -  Your Theme directory is not C:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes\
 -  Some files may be corrupt (especially if downloaded off the internet.

No infrigement was intended, just wanted to honor a terrific show and an 
awesome character.  This is freeware to be distributed freely, but please

this theme on your site or include it in a shareware/freeware CD.

do with a zip file search the net for WinZip (http:\\www.winzip.com) or PKZip
